Description
The Federal Constitution of the Swiss Confederation establishes the basic structure of the government, the separation of powers, and the fundamental rights of individuals and citizens. Article 25 protects individuals from expulsion, extradition, or refoulement to states where they may face persecution, torture, or inhumane treatment. Article 121 states that the Confederation is responsible for legislation on entry to and exit from Switzerland, including the granting of asylum.
