Description

This directive is enacted to give effect to laws in Ethiopia that provide for refugees to be issued with a Travel Document for the purpose of international travel. Article 32(2) and (3) of the 2019 Refugee Proclamation provides for refugees’ right to travel documents for the purpose of travel outside Ethiopia up on written application to the RRS. Furthermore, this directive is issued with a view to implementing a consistent working procedure in the issuance of refugees’ travel document.
