Description

The Regulations were promulgated under section 48 of Uganda’s Refugees Act, 2006 in order to give detailed effect to the Act’s broad framework for the protection and management of refugees and asylum-seekers on Ugandan territory. Their primary purpose is to set out clear and comprehensive procedures for how individuals may apply for refugee status.
