Description

This Decree No. 45/023 implements and details the procedures introduced by Article 33 of Uruguay’s Migration Law (Law 18.250 of 6 January 2008), as amended by Article 169 of Law 20.075 (20 October 2022). Its purpose is to streamline and harmonize the granting of permanent residence to two groups: first, nationals of MERCOSUR Member and Associated States; and second, the spouses, de facto partners, parents and siblings of Uruguayan citizens.
