Description
This law ensures that refugees cannot be forcibly returned to their country of origin,adhering to the principle of non refoulment, which is cornestone of international refugee protection. If Iraq denies an individual refugees status, the person is not simply returned to potentialy dengerous situation;instead the individual may be sent to a third country.This relocation is carried out based on the decision made by the authorities and requires the approuval of the minister, aiming to provide a safer alternative for those who cannot remain in Iraq.
