Description

Government Decree 191/2015 of 21 July on safe countries of origin and safe third countries designates EU and EEA Member States, Switzerland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and US states that do not apply the death penalty. The decree aligns with Directive 2013/32/EU on asylum procedures. While these countries are presumed safe, asylum applicants may present evidence to prove that, in their individual circumstances, the country in question does not offer effective protection or meet the criteria of a safe country.
