Description

The Code defines a spectrum of migratory statuses, from tourist and temporary or permanent residency to humanitarian and diplomatic classifications, and entrusts the Guatemalan Migration Institute with policy development, issuance of travel and identity documents, and inter-institutional coordination for sustainable management of migratory flows.
