Description

The purpose of these regulations is to implement the provisions o f the European Unio n Direct ive 2 001/55/EC which establishes minimum standards for giving temporary protection in the event of a mass influx of displaced persons from third countries who are unable to return to their country of origin and to promote a balance of effort between Member States in receiving and bearing the consequences of receiving such persons.
