Description

The Immigration Act (Cap. 217) establishes a comprehensive legal framework governing who may enter, reside in, work in and depart from Malta. It also provides for an independent Immigration Appeals Board, aligns Maltese law with EU/Schengen obligations, and creates offences and penalties for non-compliance.
