The Immigration Act No. 17 of 2010 establishes a legal framework governing entry to, stay in, and departure from Vanuatu, as well as the determination and management of refugee status. Its purpose is to regulate immigration in all its aspects—from border control and visa policy to the protection of those seeking asylum.
