Description

The Constitution of Belize establishes the country as a sovereign democratic state within the Commonwealth. The government structure comprises three branches: executive, headed by a Prime Minister and Cabinet; legislative, vested in the National Assembly consisting of the House of Representatives and Senate; and judiciary, responsible for upholding constitutional rights and justice.
