Description

The Constitution of the Republic of Ghana (Amendment) Act, 1996 introduces several amendments to the Constitution of Ghana, affecting aspects of citizenship, parliamentary operations, and specific national functions. The Constitution does not explicitly address refugees or asylum seekers. However, it includes some provisions that may indirectly relate to them such as Article 17 which provides for equality before the law for all persons, irrespective of gender, race, color, ethnic origin, religion, creed, or social or economic status.
