Description

The Constitution of the Maldives establishes the framework for governance, separation of powers, and fundamental rights of its citizens. Article 17 (a) establishes the principle of non discrimination "of any kind, including race, national origin,colour, sex, age, mental or physical disability, political or other opinion, property, birth or other status, or native island."
