Description

The law establishes the legal framework for the entry, stay, movement, work and expulsion of foreigners in Turkey.  The Law further defines clear grounds on which a residence permit may be refused (e.g. threats to public order or illegal entry), sets maximum validity periods and fee exemptions, imposes notification obligations for foreign workers, and empowers the Ministry of the Interior to order the departure or detention of persons deemed dangerous or incompatible with security and political necessities.
