The Domestic Violence Act of 2019 recognizes domestic violence in all its forms—whether against women, men, or children—within families and relationships as a serious crime and social evil. It aims to provide effective remedies for survivors, uphold constitutional rights to equality and security, and fulfill Liberia’s international commitments to end violence, particularly against women and children.
