Description

This Executive Decree seeks to regulate the dispensation of emergency oral contraceptives, without medical prescription, understood as hormonal contraceptives that are administered orally and, to be effective, must be taken within 72 hours after an unprotected sexual regards, or due to the failure of another contraceptive method.

Article 1.- Dispensation of oral emergency contraceptives

Se permite la dispensación de los anticonceptivos orales de emergencia, sin prescripción médica, entendiéndose éste como aquel anticonceptivo hormonal que es administrado por vía oral y que para ser efectivo debe tomarse dentro de las primeras 72 horas después de una relación sexual sin protección, o por falla de otro método anticonceptivo.
