Description

This is Act of 17 March 2022 amending and supplementing Act No. 480/2002 Coll. on Asylum and on Amendment and Supplementation of Certain Acts, as amended. This amendment updates Slovakia’s asylum framework—primarily by strengthening procedural safeguards (e.g., ensuring the best interests of minors and extending timelines for interviews), clarifying grounds for granting or refusing asylum and complementary protection, and embedding initial integration measures (such as language courses, social and psychological support, and one-time and monthly financial grants) to help recognized refugees and those with subsidiary protection settle into Slovak society.
