Nicaragua’s Refugee Protection Law (No. 655 of 9 July 2008) establishes a comprehensive domestic framework for identifying, admitting and safeguarding refugees in accordance with both the 1951 Geneva Convention (and its 1967 Protocol) and the 1984 Cartagena Declaration.
