This is the Act on Temporary Protection of Displaced Persons Act, Official Gazette of RS, No. 16/17 and subsequent amendments. This law implements the EU’s Temporary Protection Directive by establishing when and how Slovenia may grant immediate, short-term protection to large groups of displaced persons. It defines eligibility criteria (e.g., fleeing war or human‐rights abuses), the mechanics for introducing, extending, and terminating temporary protection status, and the roles of national authorities and reception centers.
