Description
The Civil Legal Aid Act 1995 (the Act) makes provision for the grant of legal aid and advice to persons of insufficient means in civil cases. The civil legal aid system operates through the Legal Aid Board (Board). Asylum seekers and refugees can get legal advice and representation though the Board with applications for international protection to the International Protection Office or appeals to the International Protection Appeals Tribunal.
