Description

The Constitution of the Kingdom of Swaziland outlines the foundational structure of the Swazi state, the functioning of its government, and the rights of its citizens. The Constitution of Eswatini, adopted in 2005, does not explicitly detail provisions for refugees or foreign nationals.  It does thus provide for several sections that are pertinent to their rights such as at section 20(1), equality before and under the law and section 15(2) that stipulates the prohibition of torture or inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.
