Description

The Constitution establishes the country as a sovereign, independent, democratic, and law-based state, outlining the principles of governance, separation of powers, and fundamental rights of individuals. Article 26 states that foreigners and stateless persons legally present in Ukraine enjoy the same rights and responsibilities as Ukrainian citizens, except as specified by the Constitution, laws, or international treaties. It also provides for the possibility of granting asylum under procedures established by law.
