Description

The Constitution of Nicaragua, adopted in 1987 and later reformed, establishes the country as a sovereign republic. Article 42 specifically addresses the protection of stateless persons, guaranteeing the right to refuge and asylum for individuals persecuted in their struggle for democracy, peace, justice, and human rights.
