This Strategy articulates Romania’s overarching goal for 2021–2024 to create a coherent national migration policy by defining its guiding principles, priorities and actionable guidelines; it aims to ensure effective management of migration flows, strengthen the asylum system in line with European and international standards, build state capacity for sudden border influxes, and develop the institutional tools and resources necessary for implementing migration, asylum and integration policies.
