Analysis

Domestic law does not use the term revocation, and does not provide a separate revocation mechanism for refugee status. In particular, it does not provide for the withdrawal of refugee status with effect for the future on the basis of conduct after recognition falling within Article 1F(a) or Article 1F(c) of the 1951 Refugee Convention. It does, however, provide two mechanisms for ending an international protection status: cessation of status under the Law 6458 on Foreigners and International Protection, Article 85, and cancellation of status under Article 86.
