Description
Law No 97-016 of 20 June 1997 creates Niger’s domestic framework for recognizing and protecting refugees by defining “refugee”, establishing a National Eligibility Commission (with UNHCR participation) to grant, revoke or terminate refugee status, and setting out clear grounds for exclusion and cessation.
