There is no express provision in Law 042-2008/AN on the return of individuals determined not to be in need of international protection.

According to Article 27 of Law No. 001/2024/ALT, the authorities will return any foreign national who did not leave the national territory upon the expiration of the period of residence granted to them; whose residence permit was refused or not renewed; was subject to a court order for expulsion shall be returned to the border.
